Travers Jacobs is a cinematographer with over a decade of experience, best known for his work as Director of Photography on HBO’s Dustin Lance Black Documentary Mama's Boy (2022), French/Italian Narrative Vuja De (2022), Narrative Festival Winner Bobby (2021) and HBO’s Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind (2020).

Travers has global experience with major film studios, with work featured in Amblin’s Finch starring Tom Hanks and The Last Voyage of the Demeter; Warner Brother’s Doctor Sleep; and Plan B’s Beautiful Boy.

Additionally, Travers oversees Zone 6 Films, a production company based in Los Angeles, specializing in narrative and documentary films. His work has garnered recognition at film festivals including Sundance, Santa Barbara International, Not Film Fest Italy, and more.

Travers received his Masters of Fine Art in Cinematography from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where he advanced in lighting techniques on celluloid and digital sensors. Travers also attended specialty programs at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where he studied 16 + 35 mm cinematography and lighting.
